In December of 1947, faced with a growing number of sightings, the Air Force was mandated to these flying saucers. But the military weren’t the only ones recruited; the idea of an invasion also worried security agencies. John Edgar Hoover, Director of the FBI, and Admiral Roscoe , Director of the recently created CIA, quickly became in the sightings as well. However, the public was not to discover their real role in the UFO matter until 30 years later, thanks to the Freedom of Act.
